Everyone loves a bargain and a quick internet search will show you the cheapest place to buy your fave hair tools but no one wants to get sold a dud or a dupe. Counterfeit products and dupes are on the rise and that’s bad news for all hair lovers. A report by the UK government shows that the annual loss to the economy through counterfeiting and piracy is £9 billion, plus 80,500 job losses each year!
There are a few ways to spot a fake retailer or product but the main way to ensure that you get the genuine product is to buy directly from the brand.
Thankfully Denman has authenticity marks that are easy to spot and impossible to copy. Here are the four easy ways to check your Denman is genuine:
- Every brush has a Denman logo embossed into the moulded handle.
- Every Original Styler pin pad has a ‘D’ and a crown emblem embossed at the very top end.
- Every Denman comb carries the Denman name.
- Authentic packaging has no single use plastics and carries a QR code that takes you straight to the website for recycling information.
Denman has its own manufacturer’s Amazon storefront which is the best and easiest way to shop the full range. However, be careful to continue checking the account name before you checkout as amazon can easily lead you out of the Denman account unintentionally.
It can be tempting to go for a good deal and the cheaper discounted items, but it is important to make sure they are official Denman discounts before proceeding. Especially if it seems too good to be true.
You can also check the reviews. They can be very helpful in many ways but if you notice there are multiple reviews on the same date or spelling mistakes, this might indicate the account is not legitimate.
Another clue could be long wait times for products as Amazon pride themselves on quick or next day delivery.
So make sure to always shop on the Denman official page to avoid disappointment and keep the amazon smile on your face.
