A 7th generation barber, Romano started at 14 in his uncle’s barbershop working hard and quickly learning the skilss of a traditional barber. This was not enough, and he also began to develop a skill for more contemporary, urban techniques and styles.
In 2015 he realised his ambition and opened Barber Ro which soon became the destination for Apeldoorn’s sharp and image conscious males. While he remains rooted in traditional techniques, Romano’s skills and understanding of men’s hair fashion has seen him create innovative creative work and made him much in demand for education and platform work both at home and abroad
