I need to have it longer to give a review

My old D4 brush was heavier and simply just built better. Companies ruin there products by trying to improve the bottom line and cheaping out on quality.

The quality is not there anymore.

The new brushes are too light and hard. I prefer the classic heavy brushes.

I am replacing a 35 year old Denman brush.

I have medium-thickness hair somewhere between wavy and curly. I wasn't looking for a miracle with this brush. However, after spending $30 between the brush and the shipping to receive it, I certainly expected the brush to remain in one piece when using it. I can easily run my fingers through my hair, but even when my hair is wet and conditioned, the rubber refuses to stay in the handle of the brush. I have to palm the entire brush instead of the handle to keep the bristles in place. I'm unsure if it's just the black/black version with this issue, but I'm beyond bummed to spend this much money on something that doesn't stay assembled in use.

Thought this company would’ve fixed this by now (user since 2014). The brush being designed removable hinders detangling as it CONTINUOUSLY POPS OUT! If people want a brush with less teeth than they should buy one because this is SUPER ANNOYING and counter intuitive! Now I have to glue the damn thing because otherwise nothing else works. Way too pricey for function.

Best hairbrush that last for years and years. Great value! We’ve been using Denman since the early 1990s.

Unfortunately, the brush slides off every time I try to use it. I don’t know if I have a bad one or if that is typical. But it makes it difficult to brush my hair.

I got the D4 Black Original Styler 9 Row and it works perfectly. Detangles in seconds and my curls pop. I take a star off because I wasn't even combing through a knotted patch and the whole brush came apart (it comes apart to clean) which I didn't expect while in use. Other than that I am pleased with the texture of the bristles and how well it works.

I love this brush for blow drying but they’re not durable and do not last as long they always end up melting and breaking

I'm a 20 year veteran of Denman Brushes. With thicker than usual Asian hair, this brush, through the years, has kept my hair healthy, strong and well-conditioned. The bristles stimulate my scalp and distribute normal hair oil evenly all the way down to the tips. I've tried other brushes and they don't compare to the quality of Denman.

I am so disappointed and sad about the quality of this brush. I bought my last Denman brush about 10 years ago and it is awesome. This new one? Not so much. This one is much more cheaply made. The main, and very annoying, issue with this new brush? The brush head slides out of the brush handle every time I brush my wet or dry hair. I have to stop at least twice in the middle of brushing to push the brush head back into place when it is dry (!), and three or four times when it is wet. Really? Thank God I have straight hair! If I had a curly mane, I would be even more frustrated. Come on, Denman! Please get your act together and engineer the old quality back into your product.
